The building design submitted by renowned architect Hafeez Contractor has been approved by the Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for the “Telangana Kalabharathi” that will be built on the 14-acre land opposite the NTR Stadium and the foundation stone will be laid by Mr Rao to enable the commencement of construction.

Earlier in undivided Andhra Pradesh, the NTR Stadium was utilized by the government for the State Formation Day celebrations on November 1.
Kalabharathi is said to be a tribute to the Telangana history and the contractor has earlier designed iconic building structures such as the 23 Marina Towers in Dubai and Infosys Technologies’ IT Parks across the country.
