TDP workers gherao Talasani's house, demand resignation
Even as the ruling TRS got busy with its first plenary at LB stadium today, the Opposition TDP launched a gherao at the residences of TRS minister (ex- TDP MLAs) Talasani Srinivas Yadav and a forrmer GHMC mayor Teegala Krishna Reddy.
In protest against their defection act and also the ongoing luring of TDP MLAs ahead of the plenary, the TDP cadres in Hyderabad city gathered in large numbers at the residences of both former TDP MLAs and raised slogans and threw chappals and raised slogans that Talasani should resign as TDP MLA and contest as TRS candidate immediately.
The police arrested all the agitators and took them to Bolaram police station. Srinivas Yadav and Teegala Krishna Reddy had defected to TRS before the budget session.
Reports of two more TDP MLAs Manchi Reddy Kishan Reddy and Prakash Gowd joining TRS at the plenary has ignited the TDP cadres to protest and agitate.
