Khammam: The proposed tour of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) to Khammam is put off once again. It has become routine for the people in the district who have been waiting for his arrival ever since he became the CM.

The CM didn’t stop in Khammam during his last visit to Bhadrachalam on the occasion of Sri Rama Navami. After attending the celestial wedding of Lord Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy, he went straight to Manuguru to launch the works of Bhadradri Thermal Power Station on March 28 before leaving for Warangal.

He then said that he would return to Khammam in about a week. It remained a promise. With KCR at Nagarjunasagar in Nalgonda district for the three-day political training session for TRS representatives, the news made rounds that he would head to the district on May 4 and take part in several programmes in the city on May 5.

The Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswara Rao reportedly discussed with the administration about the CM’s programmes. In this backdrop, the news emerged that as KCR had to go to Delhi on May 6, his tour was put on hold again, it is learnt. Meanwhile, sources said that the CM is likely to embark on the district tour on May 10.
