Minister Pocharam says govt achieved many a feat in the last one year of its rule

Nizamabad: The State government has decided to conduct the week-long state formation day celebrations in grand manner with loads of cultural activities, said State Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, here on Thursday. Minister said that people of Telangana achieved separate statehood after sixty years of struggle, so formation day celebrations would remember and honour martyrs, by paying homage to people who sacrificed their lives for the movement.


Pocharam said the festival would be held from June 2 to 7 at state level to village level. The festival would pay homage to martyrs statue situated at Vinayaknagar of Nizamabad city on June 2 and conduct a rally from police parade ground. Apart from flag hoisting session at parade ground, cultural programmes would enthrall people.


The Telangana government has achieved many feats in the last one year. In Nizamabad district, government is organizing Mission Kakatiya with a budget of 250 cores, reduced power cuts, nearly 1600 cores were sanctioned to R&B and Panchayatiraj Roads besides taking up welfare schemes like Aasara pensions, preparing food with thin rice to welfare hostel students and to kick-start 2-Bhk house for poor people and sanctioned the spices park in Nizamabad district to support the turmeric farmers, so on Minister added.

In the media conference, Yellareddy MLA Yenugu Ravinder Reddy, TRS District President Eega Gangareddy, TRS Polit Bureau Member A S Poshetty, DCMS Chairman Mujiboddin, District Collector D Ronald Rose, Joint Collector Ravinder Reddy also took part.
