Telangana Council Polls: TRS gets support from YSR Congress
YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), a day head of the crucial Legislative Council elections has decided to back the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) candidates. YSR Congress Telangana unit president P. Srinivas Reddy announced the party’s decision to support TRS and said that it is the party’s responsibility to participate in the polling process.

YSR Congress at present has only one MLA as two members has defected to the TRS party and the support to TRS in the Telangana Council Polls is expected to boost the chances of the five ruling party candidates.
With the present demeanor of changing political equations, the prospects have improved through six TRS nominees and the single Congress candidate while the TDP-BJP combine nominee Vem Narender Reddy has a tough task ahead of him.
In the meantime, the TRS is not taking any odds even after the defection and YSRC support and has planned a mock polling for its legislators on Sunday. However, the TDP after receiving a setback with the defection of Kukatpally MLA Madhavaram Krishna Rao into TRS has appealed to the TRS MLAs to cast their votes according to their ethics.
