Telangana: ACB denies Chandrababu’s phone tapping

Telangana’s Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday denied the allegations being made that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu’s phone was tapped by them. Terming the allegations as baseless reports, ACB Director General A.K. Khan said that the ACB conducts investigations in accordance with the law for any case.

Telangana intelligence chief Shivadhar Reddy and ACB Director General A.K. Khan met Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao where the cash for vote case progress was reviewed after ACB completed four-day questioning of Revanth Reddy and two others.


TDP MLA Revanth Reddy along with Sebastian and Uday Simha were caught red-handed on May 31 while offering a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson to cast vote in the favour of TDP in the Telangana legislative council elections. On Sunday, a audio tape was aired on TV Channels that held a telephonic conversation between Chandrababu Naidu and Stephenson.
