Govt forms panel to speed up irrigation projects
The Telangana State government has constituted a Cabinet sub-committee, led by Deputy Chief Minister Kadiyam Srihari, to speed up ongoing major and medium irrigation projects. The other members on this panel are Finance Minister Eatala Rajender, Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao and Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao, who is also the convenor.

It may be mentioned here that both Srihari and Nageswara Rao served as Irrigation Ministers during their stints earlier in TDP. This committee will review the various projects that are at various stages of construction in 10 districts and submit report to the government. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao announced the constitution of the panel after conclusion of Cabinet meeting few days ago.
