City boy gets 3rd rank in AIIMS entrance

Ansh Gupta, a 17-year-old city boy got 3rd rank in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS entrance test. In all, 14,417 candidates have been shortlisted, Ansh Gupta, son of Dr. Manesh Gupta, an ENT surgeon, passed his 12th class at Chaitanya educational institution.

Hyderabad: Ansh Gupta, a 17-year-old city boy got 3rd rank in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences MBBS entrance test. In all, 14,417 candidates have been shortlisted, Ansh Gupta, son of Dr. Manesh Gupta, an ENT surgeon, passed his 12th class at Chaitanya educational institution.


“I studied very hard for 12 th class. I followed the daily schedule for preparation pattern of medical entrance. Apart from this, I read some other books which I felt necessary for exam at home. I want to become a Neurologist,” he says. Ansh mother an Anesthetist at a clinic and father working in government service.


He appeared in four MBBS entrance exams across India. In Manipal entrance he got 11 th rank, 20 th rank in JIPMER, and in EAMCET in TS 9 th rank and 6 th rank in AP. Children of many eminent doctors shy away from medical profession after seeing their parents toiling hard. But Ansh is an exception, since he wants to become a professional doctor and serve society like his parents.
