KCR’s invitation for President, PM to Godavari Maha Pushkaralu
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on the eve of Godavari Maha Pushkaralu which is to take place from July 14 to 25 will be taking a dip on the first day with his family at Dharmapuri in Karimnagar district.

Acording to sources, the Chief Minister will be inviting President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several other VVIPS for the event. President Pranab Mukherjee who is expected to visit Hyderabad for the southern sojourn from June 28 to July 8 is likely to participate in pushkaralu, however, the Prime Minister’s visit is doubtful.
Rs 500 crore has been embarked by the Telangana state government for the Godavari Maha Pushkaralu and about 5-6 crore people from all across the country are said to participate during the event that occurs once in 12 years.
