The PIL bench of the High Court at Hyderabad comprising of Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice SV Bhatt adjourned by four weeks a writ plea filed by Rajarapu Prathap questioning action of the government of Telangana for its failure to pay salaries in accordance with various laws and not regularising service of 50,000 employees of Grama Panchayats, who have been working in 8000 Gram Panchayats of the State of Telangana as illegal, unjust, arbitrary, unlawful and against the Minimum Wages Act, 1948 and the Contract Labour (Prohibition & Regularize) Act, 1970, the Payment of Wages Act, 1972, the Equal Remuneration Act, 1976 and the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.
