Hyderabad: TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy, an accused in the alleged cash-for-vote scam abstained from attending the ACB Court here on Monday. Revanth Reddy’s defence counsel submitted to the court that his client could not attend the court because the High Court had ordered him not to stir out of his constituency, Kodangal. The counsel submitted a memo in this regard in the ACB court.

Responding to counsel’s argument, the ACB Court made it clear that Revanth Reddy should be present in the court whenever the case comes up before the bench. The next hearing is posted to August 3. The other accused in the case, Sebastian and Udaysimha, were present in the court.

It may be recalled that the High Court had granted conditional bail to Revanth Reddy, Sebastian and Udaysimha in the cash-for-vote case. The Court ordered Revanth Reddy to confine himself to his constituency.
