Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao stated that the reason behind the weeklong strike of GHMC workers are the Andhra political parties. Addressing the call off for the GHMC strike, KCR interacted with the GHMC workers said that he had assured the workers to hike their wages during the Swachh Hyderabad campaign.


KCR blamed the Andhra parties and labour unions for instigating the GHMC workers towards strike over the salary hike. The Chief Minister also lashed out at the workers who staged the protest for bringing on the strike during the ongoing Pushkaralu and Bonalu. KCR on Friday announced a 47% wages hike for the GHMC workers along with double bedroom flats to at least 1000 labourers every year.


Also, promising to improve the standards of education, health of the children of GHMC staff – KCR informed that the flats for the labourers will be built in the government lands in Jubilee Hills and Banjara Hills.
