NABARD to grant 3,000 cr loan to TS
The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) would be releasing Rs 3,000 crore as current year\'s loan for Telangana Drinking Water Grid project, the flagship scheme of TRS government.A high-level delegation from NABARD held discussions with Principal Secretary (Panchayat Raj) Raymond Peter and senior officials of Telangana government at the Secretariat on Friday.
Hyderabad: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) would be releasing Rs 3,000 crore as current year's loan for Telangana Drinking Water Grid project, the flagship scheme of TRS government.A high-level delegation from NABARD held discussions with Principal Secretary (Panchayat Raj) Raymond Peter and senior officials of Telangana government at the Secretariat on Friday.
The bank officials who earlier toured Gajwel, Singur and other areas to check progress of the water grid hailed its concept and implementation. NABARD is very happy to be part of this challenging project to provide drinking water to every household, they said. The loan amount would be released this month itself, the TS officials were told.
Meanwhile, Raymond Peter briefed them about 10 per cent allocation of water for industries usage and government plans to supply treated water to all municipalities. He also told them about Optic Fibre Cable network that would be being laid simultaneously along with water grid project.
