As the power to appoint chancellors will lie with the government, KCR suggested that instead of the Governor being head of all state varsities, each varsity will be headed by an individual chancellor.
The Chief Minister held a meeting on Tuesday with Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari to discuss over the issue.
