Hyderabad: The 1,350 outsourcing employees of the Telangana State Aarogyasri Trust began indefinite strike on Friday midnight. According to Union president, P Chandrashekar, the employees, in their strike notice, demanded job security and sought regularization of their services. They also demanded that their wages be increased.


Dr M Chandrasekhar, CEO, Aarogyasri, issued a statement that the Trust had made all efforts to dissuade employees from going on strike by promising to redress their grievances. He said the trust was making alternate arrangements to see that the beneficiaries of Aarogyasri Scheme and Employees Health Scheme do not suffer.
