Nizamabad: District Collector D Ronald Rose expressed anger on NREGS Assistant Program Officers (APOs) and Mandal Parishad Development Officers (MPDOs) in a review meeting on Telangana Haritha Haram, Gram Jyoti and Swacch Bharat schemes held at Zilla Parishad hall.

The Collector expressed resentment upon finding large differences in the statistics related to ‘Telangana Haritha Haram’ programme. Collector Ronald Rose said that the district administration targeted to plant nearly 3.31 crore saplings in the district but the field level staff entered 2.61 crore entries only.

He directed the officials that a review meeting would be held on Saturday over the issue and the staff should freshly collect the data again village wise and nursery wise. Rose sought the officials to speed up the construction of 100 toilets under Swatch Bharat Scheme in various villages of district.

He also requested the officials to revise the plans under ‘Mana Ooru-Mana Pranalika’ scheme because of increase in funds under the newly introduced ‘Gram Jyoti’ scheme. Joint Collector Ravinder Reddy, AssistantJoint Collector Rajaram, DWAMA Project Director Venkateshwarlu and others participated in the meeting.
