Telangana Govt not to hike bus fares
The proposal to increase the bus fares has been dropped by the TSRTC. With the RTC employees salaries being hiked, the bus fares were also to follow the same with a hike in the fares.

However, the Telangana government has decided to bear the entire burden of expenditure by paying Rs. 75 lakh to the RTC every month.
To avoid burden on the public, the RTC is saddled with Rs. 825 crore expenditure, each year. With this, the RTC officials withdrew hike on bus fares.
