Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao declared that his government would regularise illegal structures and buildings in all municipalities across the State. Speaking to media persons here on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said the State government had taken this decision to clear the pending regularisation of these buildings.

The government was addressing problems left over by the previous governments, he said. He also disclosed that Rs 200 crore worth works were sanctioned during Swacch Telangana drive attended by himself and Governor E S L Narasimhan.

The Chief Minister reiterated that nominated posts in Telangana State would be filled soon. He maintained that the Chairmen posts of market committees, temples and others would be filled without further delay.

Stating that Muslim Minorities would get 12 per cent of reservations as promised, Rao alleged that the previous governments had ignored the minorities’ welfare and there was need to lend a helping hand to them to be in the mainstream.

Attributing the pathetic condition of the RTC to the negligence of the previous governments, he said efforts were on to put it on the right path to achieve growth gradually. KG-to-PG free education would be implemented from next academic year after consulting subject experts, intellectuals, professors and promote English in a big way to grab future needs.

He said the government was committed to offer free intensive education and vowed to protect lives of people in villages by encouraging cheap liquor to replace illicit and spurious liquor in the State despite Opposition parties crying foul, he said.

“We urged the Centre on tax devolution to Telangana and implementation of AP Reorganisation Act to get Telangana its rightful share. The TRS government has written some 50 letters to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the State’s issues of power, irrigation projects and others,” he said. He also said they had ordered for 25,000 autos meant for garbage removal under GHMC.
