The Telangana State Human Rights Commission issued notices to the GHMC Commissioner and the Chief Secretary of the Telangana Government over illegal posters in the city.

Social activist Vijay Gopal filed a complaint with the Human Rights Commission of the State stating that the political parties are blatantly putting up posters everywhere in the city.

"While the GHMC claims that the posters for the political parties are allowed only temporarily i.e. for a couple of days time,

we cannot endanger the safety of the commuters as these posters were obstructing the view of the commuters at Free Lefts, Flyover, bus stops, flyover poles and Metro pillars," Vijay Gopal mentioned in the complaint.

After hearing the complaint, the SHRC issued notices to Chief Secretary and GHMC Commissioner asking them to submit a detailed report on it by Septermber 18. The matter will be further heard on the same date.
