Hyderabad: Justice Raja Elango of the High Court at Hyderabad on Wednesday directed TDP MLA A Revanth Reddy to respond to a petition seeking cancellation of his bail.

The MLA is the prime accused in the recent cash-for-vote scam. The court granted conditional bail to the TDP MLA.

The present petition was filed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau of Telangana seeking cancellation of his bail.

Ravi Kiran Rao, special public prosecutor of the ACB contended that Revanth Reddy had violated conditions of his bail.

The counsel pointed out that though the court had relaxed a few conditions of the bail, it directed the MLA not to interfere with the investigation.

The counsel alleged that the MLA recently participated in a meeting of TDP workers at LB Nagar and passed certain comments that would not only deter the witnesses in the case and but also lead to intimidation of the witnesses.

While issuing the notice to the TD MLA, the judge asked the counsel for the MLA to properly advise the accused to honour conditions of the bail and adjourned the hearing.
