With the day-long shutdown called by the opposition parties causing a stir in Telangana on Saturday, CPI leader Narayana and his party activists were arrested by the police and taken to the Nampally police station.


The CPI party leaders as a part of the Telangana bandh, protested against the government over farmers' issues at the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) in Hyderabad. The party activists raised slogans against Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and Telangana government while they were forcibly being taken to the police station.
