The suspense over who will be the Congress candidate in the forthcoming by-elections to Warangal Lok Sabha deepened further as the Congress High Command deferred its decision to announce its candidate. The by-election is slated for November 21.
All the parties including the TRS, Congress and the BJP-TDP combine have been scrambling to find suitable candidates for the Warangal Lok Sabha by-election. Sources say that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has already finalized the candidate and is expected to announce in a day or two.
The Congress is said to have shortlisted five candidates and AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi has reportedly asked to wait for some days before announcing the final candidate. Rahul Gandhi may finalise the candidate after TRS and BJP-TDP combine announce their candidates.
