KUNMING (China): The Telangana Tourism made its debut at the China International Travel Mart (CITM) in Kunming (Yunnan Province) which is being held from November 12-15. International and domestic tourist organisations including China’s 31 provinces, autonomous regions, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, travel agencies, hotels, airlines and related travel companies are participating in one of the largest tourism platforms in the Asia Pacific region.

B Venkatesham, Secretary of Youth affairs, Tourism and Culture Department led the delegation from the Government of Telangana to exhibit its rich tourism and cultural resources to Chinese tour operators.

Speaking on the occasion, Venkatesham said, “Hyderabad is a travel destination and recently the National Geographic Traveller Magazine ranked it as the second best place in the world that one should see in 2015.

In July, India launched e-tourist visa facility for China, and this move would no doubt draw more Chinese tourists. We believe the government will continue to streamline visas for the Chinese.”
