Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police have decided to seek custody of one of the key conspirators who had motivated several youngsters from south India, including Telangana to head towards Syria to join Islamic State of Syria and the Levant has been taken into custody by the Bangalore police in the last week.

Adnan Hasan Damudi, hailing from Bhatkal of Karnataka, recruited 16 youngsters from Hyderabad by brain washing them through social media in 2014. The central security agencies have reportedly arrested Hasan Damaudi in Bangalore a few days ago.

The police believe that he had offered money to four youngsters from Hyderabad, who were detained in Kolkata when they attempted to leave for Syria. Hasan promised Rs 50,000 to the city youngsters to take care of their expenses and promised a better life once they reached Syria.

After learning about the highly-threatening activities of Hasan, the city police are now planning to seek his custody to probe about the recruitment process and prevent youngsters joining IS.
