TRS candidate Pasunuri Dayakar lead with 36,000 votes after the completion of first round of counting while Congress candidate Sarve Satyanarayana followed in second place and BJP candidate Devaiah in third place.

At the end of the first two rounds of counting, the TRS candidate appeared to have moved far ahead of his rivals with a majority of 15,415 votes and was leading in Warangal, Parakala and Wardhannapeta constituencies.
Now, the latest reports coming in suggest that Pasunuri Dayakar is leading with 2,58,254 votes after the eighth round of counting of votes for Warangal by-election. It is expected that TRS would lead in all the 22 rounds of counting. TRS activists have already begun the celebrations by bursting firecrackers in the district.
