Justice Raja Elango of the High Court at Hyderabad refused to enlarge a person accused of being a cattle thief and one of his associates.

The judge was dealing with a bail petition filed by Nawab and one of his associates. Additional Public Prosecutor of Telangana D Ramireddy informed the court that Nawab along with one of his associates was caught in Mahbubnagar and police found that he had stolen 187 cattle and there were 17 cases pending against him in various police stations.

He said Nawab formed three gangs and committed several offences in Mahbubnagar and surrounding districts by selling the stolen cattle and in some cases even dead bodies of cattle to several companies. He had given Rs 5 lakhs as advance to a house owner in city to purchase house and also paid Rs 7.5 lakhs to secure an own vehicle for their gangs to transport the stolen cattle. The judge after hearing the arguments dismissed the bail petition.
