The Hyderabad district officials have to collect a sum of Rs 62.61 crore before December 31 to dispose off GO 59 applications and to provide land certificates to eligible beneficiaries. Hyderabad: The Hyderabad district officials have to collect a sum of Rs 62.61 crore before December 31 to dispose off GO 59 applications and to provide land certificates to eligible beneficiaries. Under GO 59, the government is allotting encroached unobjectionable land of 125 square yards to Below Poverty Line (BPL) people.

The government has provided opportunity to the people to pay the amount in five installments which is going to end by December 31.Till now, the district has received 1,279 applications which includes 956 eligible applicants and 323 applicants recommended by the special district committee.

According to the district report on GO 59, Shaikpet mandal alone has to collect nearly Rs 50.44 crore which is about 80 per cent of the total targeted amount. This is followed by Asifnagar mandal with Rs 2.08 crore, Secunderabad mandal with Rs 1.06 crore, Marredpally mandal with Rs 1.71 crore and Tirumalagiri Secunderabad with Rs 1.01 crore.
