PV’s services remembered

Hyderabad: TPCC chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy lauded the role played by former Prime Minister late PV Narasimha Rao in strengthening the economic condition of the nation by introducing reforms, at a time when the nation was facing severe crisis.

The TPCC organised the 11th death anniversary of PV Narasimha Rao in a big way here on Wednesday. Uttam paid floral tributes at PV Ghat first and later to the portrait of PV at Gandhi Bhavan. Speaking on the occasion, Uttam described PV as a great intellectual and linguist and said his services as an economist and politician were unforgettable. PV’s economic reforms stood as a model to the world, he stated and said that the nation emerged economically strong because of PV’s hard work.
TPCC vice president Narasimha Reddy and other leaders in huge numbers apart from the late leader’s family members participated in the programme. Meanwhile, the State government organised PV’s death anniversary in a big way at PV Gnana Bhoomi in Necklace Road here on Wednesday.
Ministers Naini Narsimha Reddy, Talasani Srinivas Yadav, PV’s family members and others participated in the programme and paid floral tributes to PV. They praised PV’s services to the nation as the Prime Minister, describing him as a linguist and economic architecture.
Later, prayers and bhajans were held. The organisers also conducted free medical camp. The Ministers launched blood donation camp and visited PV’s photo exhibition.
