Hyderabad: Polling for six MLC seats under local area constituencies’ quota in Ranga Reddy, Mahbubnagar, Nalgonda and Khammam will be held on Sunday, according to Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal. Addressing the media at the Secretariat here on Saturday,
Bhanwarlal said live video web casting would be done during voting from 8 am to 4 pm. For two seats in Ranga Reddy and Mahbubnagar, five candidates each are in fray, while for one seat in Nalgonda four are in fray and for one seat in Khammam five candidates are contesting.
Stating that all arrangements were made, the CEO said 3,869 voters will exercise their franchise in 119 polling stations. The EC gave permission to 145 companions to the electors, who have to offer first priority vote and the rest four votes in a single ballot.
