Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation has generated revenue of about Rs 83 crore through Building Penalisation Scheme (BPS) and Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS). The GHMC has been receiving the application from October 28 and will end on December 31.

According to the GHMC town planning department officials, the civic body has generated about Rs 83 crore through 55, 443 BPS applications and 24, 469 LRS applications and are hopeful to reach Rs 100 crore by Thursday, as it would be the last date to receive the applicants.

The town planning department officials told The Hans India that the applicants can continue to upload the remaining documents, which were relaxed by the GHMC on December 24, citing public holidays and technical glitches, even after the due date. Earlier, the GHMC required 13 documents from applicants for uploading online.

The GHMC officials also stressed that the processing will be taken up only after the disposal of pending court case and as per the High Court orders. They also made clear that the Model Code of Conduct (MCC) for ensuing municipal election would not affect the processing of LRS and BPS.

Meanwhile, the applicants can only upload documents including a copy of ownership document or title deed attested by Gazetted Officer, constructed building plan (site plan, location plan, detailed plan, floor plan, section plan, elevation plan) drawn and signed by licensed technical person and applicant, One photograph showing the elevation and a photograph showing the roof slab with the initial payment for BPS.

For LRS the applicants after making initial payment have to upload a copy of ownership document or title deed duly attested by a Gazetted officer, site location plan, detailed layout plan showing the plot applied for regularization drawn and signed by licensed technical Person and applicant.

The submission of Encumbrance Certificate (EC), market value certificate (MVC) and indemnity bond is not mandatory while processing the LRS and BPS applications.
