Any election process is as critical as our own health. The net impact that we get from a healthy election impacts our health - physical, mental and spiritual. We cannot get away from the influence of a Leader in the democracy. Everyone has impacted the common from freedom struggle. Gandhi, Nehru, LB Sastry, Indira, PVNR, Rajiv, Sonia-Rahul duo that ran the UPA Government for 10 years and now Modi. So is the case in undivided AP and now in the two Telugu States.

The system of giving feedback directly to these leaders is even today absent and the only option is by-elections and local body elections. The GHMC is a very huge civic body it is the heart of Telangana. The civic society in GHMC area doesn't entirely belong to Telangana. This is the unique feature of Hyderabad City that has gained significance among the political parties. For Hyderabad to become a true Global City, what are the pre-requisites and which party can make that happen is the question before every Voter.

Every voter is watching, listening to and seeing what is being told, done, shown in the city now in terms of ads., posters, flex boards, hoarding, meetings, etc., The history of governing this city during the last 19 months by the ruling party is one clear fact that decides the voting and belief pattern. The Leadership of Mr. Somesh Kumar, IAS had left a big scar on this civic body with the uncivilized way of governing the GHMC.

Today, most of the roads inside the residential areas are badly damaged and needs repair since two years or even more. During the last one year, the city has registered no significant development in any aspect except the creative corruption practices. Under these circumstances whom to believe, what to believe and why we shall believe are the questions the voters must answer individually. The other day in my locality (Ramara Rao Nagar Colony in Kukatpally near Vaddepalli Enclave) during the night a two wheeler rider bumped on the newly laid speed breaker and had a fall seriously injuring his leg and left hand. The speed breaker got camouflaged during the night time as it was not marked with yellow stripes. Who should be held accountable for this very serious lapse? The speed breakers are laid not according to the road standards and there is no rationality in their number, place etc. This is one incident and there are several such instances where works got started off and left unfinished causing so much trble for daily commuters.

We need to understand the practicality of the promises being made and then decide to cast our vote. There is no point in cribbing later after voting a political leader. We need to focus more on the contestant rather than the party so that we end up electing a sensible candidate.
