TS govt to launch prepaid electric meters

Telangana government is reportedly planning to launch rechargeable prepaid electricity meters in the state with the help of Telangana power discoms. The government sources inform that with the launch of the prepaid electric meters, power pilferage issues and huge power dues can be controlled.

Earlier, Maharastra, Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Karnataka introduced these prepaid meters in their respective states that has yielded good results.
