The TDP-BJP combine is all set to blow the poll bugle for combined poll campaign for the GHMC elections from Nizam college grounds on Tuesday where a mammoth public meeting is planned. Hyderabad: The TDP-BJP combine is all set to blow the poll bugle for combined poll campaign for the GHMC elections from Nizam college grounds on Tuesday where a mammoth public meeting is planned. According to the TTDP floor leader E Dayakar Rao, TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu and Union minister for Health JP Nadda would be attending the public meeting.
He said that Naidu would be campaigning for the TDP-BJP candidates for three days from January 27. He further said that the TDP-BJP combine would announce that if voted to power, they would give the post of Deputy Mayor to a Seemandhra person.
Rao said they would try to win the confidence of the people by explaining to them how they would develop the city and bring funds from the Centre. He alleged that the TRS government has been diverting the funds it got from the Centre for GHMC for other purposes. It has even failed to give fee reimbursement to students, he said.
BJP floor leader Dr K Lakshman announced that the TDP-BJP combine had decided to reserve the post of Deputy Mayor for a person of Seemandhra origin in case their alliance wins the GHMC elections.Speaking to the media persons here on Monday, Lakshman said that the voters hailing from Seemandhra region would play a decisive role in the GHMC elections.
Therefore, he said that the BJP-TDP combine has decided to give Deputy Mayor’s post to instill confidence among them. He said that a massive public meeting was being organised at Nizam College Grounds on January 12. Further, he said that the TDP-BJP combine would release its manifesto for GHMC Elections on January 13.
Earlier, he reviewed the arrangements for the public meeting at Nizam College Grounds. TDP leaders L. Ramana and Errabelli Dayakar Rao were also present on the occasion.
