Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday reached Hyderabad where he visited University of Hyderabad (UoH) and conversed with the students who had been protesting against the death of Dalit student Rohith Vemula.
Rahul Gandhi spoke to the students on the incident and learnt the reasons for the students' protests. The students demanded Rs. 50 lakhs to Rohith's mother along with a job to his younger brother and also demanded the suspension of the other students be lifted off. The Congress vice-president is expected to visit Rohit's mother and also the two-member Central committee that is probing into the issue.
