Khammam: Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) district leader Y Srikanth alleged that the TRS government drastically failed in fulfilling its elections promises. A meeting was held at Sundaraiah Bhavan here on Friday under the leadership of Patan Raheem Khan.

Speaking on the occasion, Srikanth said the Telangana people pinned many hopes on separate Telangana. But the TRS has poured water on their hopes.

The government, which failed in fulfilling its poll promises like three acres of land for Dalits, one lakh jobs to unemployed, KG to PG free education etc, now made another promise of giving double bedroom houses.

He criticised that the TRS was misusing its powers for the development of its party leaders instead of concentrating on the public issues. The CPM leader demanded the government to prove its efficiency by allotting double bedroom houses to all eligible poor people in the district.

Otherwise, on behalf of the public CPM will launch a massive movement against the TRS government, he warned. Party leaders Y Srinivas Rao, T Vishnu Vardhan, Y Vikram, Raghunathapalem Mandal leaders Naveen Reddy, G Bhumaiah, V Venkatnarayana, V Venkateshwarlu, Mahaboob, Ali, Mangamma and N Nagaiah were present along with others.
