A woman was sexually assaulted on the wee hours of Friday in Lingampalli hamlet of Mylavaram mandal in the district. According to the police, Jayaram (50), a resident of the Lingampally, molested a woman when she came out on the street after midnight.

Assistant sub-inspector of Police Majid Khan said that on ht basis of the complaint lodged by the victim, a case has been filed and investigation was taken up.
The accused is at large.The victim has been shifted to a hospital.
