The State government has sanctioned and released funds worth Rs 600.21 lakh under Special Development Fund (SDF) scheme towards various development works in Warangal (West) assembly segment. Informing this to the press persons in Hanamkonda on Sunday, Warangal (West) MLA D Vinay Bhaskar said a total of 74 development works would be taken up in the constituency with these funds.  

Warangal: The State government has sanctioned and released funds worth Rs 600.21 lakh under Special Development Fund (SDF) scheme towards various development works in Warangal (West) assembly segment. Informing this to the press persons in Hanamkonda on Sunday, Warangal (West) MLA D Vinay Bhaskar said a total of 74 development works would be taken up in the constituency with these funds.

The MLA has thanked Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Minister K Taraka Rama Rao for sanctioning the funds under the SDF scheme. The funds would be used for improving infrastructure like roads and others. ‘The CM has a special interest in the development of Warangal, the second biggest city in the State after Hyderabad. During his visits to the city, he made several promises and all of them would be executed,’ he assured.

Efforts were going on to allot the vending zones constructed by Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC) in the city. About 1,000 street vendors would be benefitted with it as they could run their business without any harassment from the officials. Referring to the progress of works related to Kaloji Kala Kshetram, the MLA informed that the tender process was over. The works would soon be started in 3.5 acres of land with an estimated cost of Rs 20 crore.

MLA Vinay Bhasker expressed confidence over winning the ensuing GWMC and Khammam Municipal Corporation elections. The results of just concluded Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation elections have proved the support the TRS government enjoying among the masses. People belonging to different states and settled in Hyderabad have trusted the TRS and given a historic victory to the party.

‘The same results would be seen in GWMC elections and Warangal mayor seat would be claimed by the TRS,’ he added. The party leaders B Rajendra Kumar, M Yadava Reddy, Ashok Rao, TRSV leader K Vasudeva Reddy and others were present.
