He gave a keynote address at a seminar on ‘Telangana Telugu’ conducted by Telugu department of Telangana University at Dichpalle campus. University Vice-Chancellor and senior IAS officer C Parthasarathi, noted poet Nandini Sidda Reddy, Professor Jaydeer Thirumal Rao, Telugu scholars Nalimela Bhasker, Banna Ilaiaha, Prof Tummala Ramakrishna, Dr Reddy Shyamala and others participated in the seminar. Velchala Kondal Rao said that Telugu language was born in Telangana land.

Dr Rao stressed that deep research should be done on Telangana dialect and literature to unearth the beauty of the language. Telangana University V-C Parthasarathi said that Telugu scholars should try to standardise Telangana Telugu language. He said Telugu intellectuals should unearth the roots of our language and research on the evolution, he added.

Prof Kanakaiah, TU Telugu Department Head said that University Telugu Department should start M A Telangana Telugu at University South campus, Bhiknoor to promote the language. He said this course syllabus should be designed by eminent Telugu scholars, who participated in this seminar.

TU Registrar Prof Limbadri said that this seminar was the first attempt for putting a crown to Telangana Telugu and to appreciate the Telugu department staff. He said this course syllabus should be designed according to UGC norms and Public Service Commission exams. Telugu scholars and TU Telugu Department professors Dr G V Ratnakar Rao, Dr N Rajini, Dr Srinivas, Pasunuri Ravinder Rao, Nateshwara Sharma, Lavanya, Triveni, Balasrinivasa Murthy and others participated in the seminar.
