Open bank accounts for NREGS workers
District Collector Neetu Kumari Prasad asked the officials to open bank accounts for the workers working under National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme so that their wages would be credited directly into their bank accounts through online banking system.

The Collector conducted a review meeting with bank officials, MPDOs and DWMA officials at the Collectorate here on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, she asked the bankers to open Zero balance accounts for NREGS labours.
She directed MPDOs to submit filled-in applications in their respected service area bank by collecting Aadhaar number, photo and other particulars of job seekers. The entire process should be completed by March 31. The Collector asked MPDOs to collect Aadhaar numbers and other details of labourers at the earliest.
