Tearful adieu to Ramreddy Venkat Reddy
A host of top leaders cutting across party lines bid a tearful farewell to senior Congress leader and Palair MLA Ramreddy Venkat Reddy (72) here on Saturday. A sea of humanity converged at his village to pay last respects to their beloved leader.

It may be mentioned here that Venkat Reddy breathed his last at a hospital in Hyderabad on Friday after a prolonged illness. The last rites were performed at Patalingala under Kamepalli mandal with full State honours.
Among the dignitaries attended were Minister for Roads and Buildings Tummala Nageswar Rao, Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly K Jana Reddy, Congress Deputy Floor Leader in the Council Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, TPCC president N Uttam Kumar Reddy, working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Khammam MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, legislators Puvvada Ajay Kumar, Balasani Laxminarayana, Korem Kanakaiah, Sandra Venkataveeraiah, Sunnam Rajaiah, Payam Venkateswarlu, Thati Venkateswarlu, T Jeevan Reddy, former MP Nama Nageswar Rao, Shabbir Ali, Ponnala Laxmaiah, Vanama Venkateswar Rao, ZP chairperson G Kavitha, district collector DS Lokesh Kumar, Superintendent of Police Shawnawaz Qasim and others.
Many leaders recalled their association with Venkat Reddy on the occasion.
