Joint Collector Ravinder Reddy tells officials to ensure water supply

Nizamabad: The officials of the Rural Water Supply and Revenue departments should identify the water sources in the villages and take appropriate steps to supply them properly to the people, District Joint Collector A. Ravinder Reddy said here on Monday. Addressing the officials of Nizamabad, Bodhan, Kamareddy divisions on drinking water problems, and the status of the deepam schemes and other revenue related issues, the Joint Collector said the people should not suffer due to scarcity of drinking water.

He said that the official should identify the drinking water sources like deep wells and tube wells nearby villages and supply water through pipeline. If water was not available, there is not available water, they should use water tankers to supply drinking water, water tankers should be used to supply water, the Joint Collector added.

Ravinder Reddy said that Nizamabad district wasm in the forefront in the implementation of all government schemes, but in Deepam gas connections schemes, district is at 6th place. JC said that the officials should utilise the DWMA and IKP staff to provide deepam connections.

He suggested that the revenue department officials should correct the revenue patta pahanies (maps) in manual system before uploading in website and must be careful while uploading them. The Joint Collector cautioned revenue department officials that if they wanted to make any changes in revenue maps, they should follow the revenue procedures, give reasons for making changes in the pahanies. The Tahsildars themselves should supervise this procedure. He said that the VRO’s should live at the villages and available to the people.
