Celestial wedding of Shiva held in Vemulawada

Karimnagar: Celestial wedding of Lord Shiva was held on grand scale in Vemulawada Raja Rajeshwara Swamy temple on Saturday. Scores of devotees from various districts and adjacent states thronged the temple town to have glimpse of the wedding ritual of Lord Shiva.

Jostle was taken place between devotees as a huge number of pilgrims entered into ‘gharbha gudi’ at a time to have a look of wedding ceremony. Pilgrims faced difficulties as lakhs of people stayed in the temple to protect themselves from soaring sun. The pilgrims criticised that the temple authorities failed to make precautionary arrangements to tackle the crowd.
