Villages conduct padayatra for rains

Sadashivnagar (Nizamabad): Residents of Ramareddy village took out an 8-km padayatra praying for rains on Saturday from the Ramalayam to the Bugga Ramalingeshwara temple in Muddikunta village of Machareddy mandal in the district.
There was scanty rainfall this season and the farmers were facing immense hardships in cultivating their crops. Sarpanch Shailaja and Upa sarpanch Narasa Reddy conducted special poooja at the Ramalingewhara Temple. Later, food (prasadam) was distributed to the devotees.
