Students observe protest over UoH incidents
The students unions at Palamuru University (PU) observed band on Monday as a mark of support to the call given by the Joint Action Committee of University of Hyderabad (UoH) against police excesses on students on the campus. As a mark of protest, the UoH JAC had given a band call to all universities in the country to hold protests.

As a mark of protest, the UoH JAC had given a band call to all universities in the country to hold protests.
Responding to its call the students unions at PU, such as Bahujan Samaj Front (BSF), People’s democratic students Union (PDSU), All India Student’s Federation (AISF) and Students Federation of India (SFI), took out a rally from the university to Ambedkar statue and expressed their solidarity with the UoH JAC.
“We demand the release of all students who have been illegally arrested by the police in UoH. Despite of atrocities on the Dalit students and even after the suicide death of Rohit Vemula, the police have not took up the investigation UoH Vice Chancellor Appa, the students said.
