Nizamabad: Congress MLC Akula Lalitha appreciated Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for providing 33 per cent reservations for women in agriculture market committees. At the same time she requested the government to liberalise the rules and regulations to allot widow pensions.
The MLC addressed a press meet at the District Congress Committee Office, along with DCC President Taher-Bin-Hamdan and Town Congress Committee president Kesha Venu here on Thursday.
Addressing the media, she thanked KCR for providing reservations for women in agriculture market committees and it is a good opportunity for women to grow as future leaders. She said that the government should liberalise the rules and regulations while allocating widow pensions and every month and also requested allotment of Asara pensions in-time.
The MLC asked the government to allot quota for MLCs in allocating double bedroom houses and requested allotment of Rs 100 crore to the Saraswati temple in Basara. She requested the government to allocate foreign education loans and Kalyana Lakshmi scheme to BCs.
