Nalgonda: TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy slammed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao over his false allegations and impossible promises he made during the PowerPoint presentation on irrigation projects on the floor of the House. After participating in the ZP general body meeting, he spoke to the media at MP Gutta Sukender Reddy’s house in the town on Friday.

He reiterated that giving PowerPoint presentation on irrigation projects in the Assembly was against to the rules of the House. Raising questions on the achievements of the ruling TRS in the last two years, he felt that signing an accord with Maharashtra State government regarding the proposed irrigation projects on River Godavari was nothing but pledging the prestige of the people of the State for his personal credit.

Uttam Kumar Reddy said that reducing the height of Tummidi-Hatti project from 152 to 148 metres will hamper the benefits of the farmers. He alleged that the Palamur-Ranga Reddy irrigation project as a scam project, which provides commission to the close associates of the CM.

“Instead of going for new projects, better to complete the pending projects by spending small amounts,” he advised. MP Gutta Sukender Reddy, MLAs Padmavathi, Bhaskar Rao, ZP Vice-Chairman Karnati Linga Reddy, Tipparthy MPP Pasham Ramreddy, Congress leaders Pullemla Venkat Narayana Goud, Munasa Venkanna, Perika Uma Maheshwar Rao were present during the press meet.
