Hyderabad: Even as the University of Hyderabad (UoH) 76th Academic Council meeting is slated to be held on Wednesday, the student JAC has given a call for “Chalo UoH.”
The Council meeting will discuss the setting up of an Ombudsman, the constitution of an Equal Opportunity Cell, appointment of an Anti-discrimination Officer in line with relevant UGC Regulations of 2012 and among others. The Council would also discuss finalisation of admissions schedule/entrance examinations schedule and crucial academic decisions for the new academic year.
“I appeal to all sections of the University community, including students, teaching, non-teaching staff to cooperate for successful conduct of the Academic Council Meeting,” said Vice Chancellor Prof Appa Rao Podile.
Meanwhile, the Joint Action Committee for Social Justice-UoH reiterated its demand for ouster of Vice Chancellor, end blockade in the varsity, enact Rohith Act and drop all charges against students and professors.
