Taking part in the official celebrations of Ugadi festival at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad on Friday, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao hoped that the Telugu New Year would bring in prosperity, growth and happiness for the Telangana state. Expressing confidence that the state would become free from drought soon, KCR said that the government is working on eradicating drought and drinking water problem completely.
The Chief Minister said that by overcoming the drought situation, farmers’ suicides could be prevented. Mentioning that the state was growing at a rate of 15% and has overcome the issues of funds, employment, KCR said that the government would spend the revenues judiciously for the welfare of all sections.
