Duty of every citizen to take fire safety measures: Duggal
District Superintendent of Police Vikram Jeet Duggal stated that it was the duty of every citizen to take precautionary measures to avoid fire accidents.
Nalgonda: District Superintendent of Police Vikram Jeet Duggal stated that it was the duty of every citizen to take precautionary measures to avoid fire accidents. Speaking as chief guest at the closing ceremony of the Fire Services week organised at Nalgonda fire station on Wednesday, Duggal said it was mandatory to arrange firefighting equipment at commercial complexes, malls, educational institutions and apartments to avoid any untoward incidents during fire mishaps.
He also took a test drive of the recently introduced two-wheeler fire engine along with District Fire Officer Harinath Reddy. Later, he watched the slide show of fire services week. He distributed prizes to the students who stood top in essay writing competition organised by Fire department officials in regard to Fire Services week. ADFO Shanmukha Rao, Nalgonda Station Fire Officer K Shyam Sunder Reddy, staff, school children and parents participated in the programme.
