Hyderabad: Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao directed officials to resolve the government land litigations at the earliest. The Chief Minister instructed them to prepare the list of lands, which were held up in the courts. In a review meeting on the government lands at Chief Minister’s Camp Office here on Thursday, the CM asked all the district collectors to lay special emphasis on the lands which are in the legal tangle.

He said that after the formation of Telangana, the government accorded top priority to save government lands across the State. He further said that due to previous governments’ lackadaisical approach, land grabbers had encroached, all the government lands especially in Hyderabad.

The CM recalled as to how the government was able to take back lands of botanical garden from the land grabbers. Same type of commitment should be shown by the officials concerned to save the government lands, he told the
officials.

The Chief Minister also instructed district collectors to rope in good lawyers to fight the cases related to the government lands. He said that both lawyers working for government and officials should work in tandem to resolve the issues related to government land at the earliest.
